Welcome! I’m Alessandra

I am the owner and therapist of Quisisana Counseling & Wellness, PLLC. Whether you are beginning your therapy journey, or simply looking for a new therapist, I am so happy that you’ve made it here! I strongly believe that you already have everything you need to heal already within you, but it is my job to help you connect with those parts of yourself and walk alongside you during this journey.

My Credentials

I went to University of Arkansas for my undergraduate degree and received a Bachelor’s in Psychology with a minor in Child Development. I completed my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Texas Woman’s University and am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas.

Counseling Background

My background includes working with adolescents and adults at higher levels of care, and I have been working in the mental health field for the last 6 years. I specialize in working with eating disorders, mood disorders, trauma, depression, anxiety, and relational/family conflict. I am also currently accruing hours and clinical experience towards my CEDS (certified eating disorder specialist) certification.

Therapeutic Approaches

I approach therapy by looking at clients through a holistic lens in order to create space for growth in all different areas of their lives. When a client steps into my office, my ultimate goal is for them to feel safe and cultivate more awareness than what they walked in with. I believe that there is not a one-size fits all approach to therapy, so I take an eclectic approach with my clients in order to figure out what techniques and interventions meet their needs.

Common Therapeutic Approaches that I use:

Acceptance & Commitment Therapy

Christian Counseling (upon request)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)

Exposure Response Prevention Therapy (ERP)

Person-Centered Therapy

Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT)

Somatic Techniques

Let’s Get Personal!

When I’m not in session, you can usually find me outside in nature with my dog, reading, watching a good reality TV show, cooking, traveling, or spending time with family and friends.
